The students and faculty of the University of Oregon are some of the most motivated and ecologically conscious in the country. We are, however, very divided between our own departments and fields. Often, we do not know what other students and faculty are doing to promote environmental and sustainably-minded causes. Often, we share common goals with individuals’ and organizations’ efforts without ever knowing they exist. With this in mind, UOeco strives to promote cross-organizational communication and knowledge.
UOeco is intended to work as a digital newspaper. Several times a week, the blog will be updated with a new story that directly relates to the efforts, organizations, or daily life of UO students and staff. The goal of uoECO is to draw our community together and facilitate understanding.

- The relationship between the built and natural worlds must be sustainable. The EDC believes designers should pioneer this relationship. The EDC seeks to educate and inspire University of Oregon design students to have the awareness, sensitivity, and expertise to lead the community toward sustainability. We welcome interested students and community members of all fields.
